The April edition of Recommend magazine features Kitchen 23 by Le Chique.
Ed Wetchler´s article, “the Caribbean´s Culinary Revolution” features Kitchen 23 as one of the Caribbean´s top restaurants for fine dining.
Kitchen 23 by Le Chique
Firstly, Kitchen 23 by Le Chique is for discerning palates and above all, exemplifies contemporary culinary art. The creations and cocktails take originality and attention to detail to the next level. Using imaginative ingredients and techniques, this haute cuisine restaurant offers molecular and traditional dishes with a flair that you won´t find anywhere else.
For example, one of the most popular dishes to try is “Morir Soñando” which translates in English to ‘die dreaming’. The name certainly sounds dramatic enough, and right away guests have this genuine look of intrigue! The recipe contains vanilla, lime, milk, and sugar. Then rum is added to the mix and they present it to you in a unique sphere. Consequently, when you taste it, your eyes will widen in surprise.
Finally, Kitchen 23 by Le Chique takes after Le Chique at Azul Beach Resort Sensatori Mexico, by Karisma. Therefore, Kitchen 23 incorporates similar techniques but uses Dominican touches rather than Mexican ones. Curiously, if you are wondering why the restaurant is called Kitchen 23, the answer is simple. The name basically ties into the senses, since they play such importance in Sensatori Resorts. 2 + 3 = 5 senses.
