Cavern Diving
Description of Cavern Diving
Live a cavern diving adventure exploring the passages of the Tajma Ha cenote! You will be surrounded by stalactites and stalagmites until you reach another cenote called Sugarball, famous for its spectacular beams of light that produce a fascinating effect. Our experienced instructors will guide you and make sure you can see the best of the cenote, such as its halocline, a part where different colored waters meet but do not mix.
Fun Fact: The original explorers of this underwater cave system originally called it the Taj Mahal because it reminded them of the beauty of the Temple of India. However, as the word Ha means water in Mayan, it was later decided to change.
