General information of Secret River and Coba

Visitors will arrive at the Cobá archaeological site, where their guide will accompany them on an approximately 45-minute tour with information about the site, its history, and Mayan culture. They will enjoy some free time before departing for Río Secreto.
Arrive at the Río Secreto reception and service area.
Transportation to the Río Secreto reserve (approximately 15 minutes).
Upon arrival at the reserve, our guide will provide safety precautions and provide appropriate equipment.
Before entering the Mayan underworld, visitors will walk the nature reserve's trails where they will receive a Mayan welcome.
Visitors will walk and swim through its beautiful natural crystal galleries on an approximately 800-meter tour lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Use of a tripod in the archaeological zone is available for an additional fee.
Electronic devices (phones, GoPro cameras, etc.) are not permitted inside the underground river.
A professional photographer will accompany you at all times to capture photographs of the Río Secreto expedition.
This tour is not suitable for people under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
This tour is not recommended for people with severe physical or motor disabilities and women who are more than 6 months pregnant.
Avoid using chemical products (sunblockers, repellents, etc.) in the underground river.

Cancelation policies of Secret River and Coba

Full refund will apply in the following cases:

      1. When the service is canceled by the supplier.

      2. Due to illness, presenting a doctor's report.

      3. The Cancellation or date change is made prior to 11:00 am the day before the service.



No refunds will apply:
