Akumal Monkey Sanctuary Tour - Without transportation
Description of Akumal Monkey Sanctuary Tour
The basic tour at Akumal Monkey Sanctuary offers an educational and bonding experience with rescued animals, including primates, birds, and reptiles.
It is an ideal activity for families and nature lovers seeking an enriching and conservation-oriented experience.
We will learn about the importance of wildlife for environmental preservation in a lush vegetation setting. A professional will guide us through the sanctuary and share information about the animals; they will tell stories about how many of these species arrived at the sanctuary, several of them rescued from poachers.
You will experience a live educational connection (bonding) with several unique animal species.
The visit to the Sanctuary consists of meeting these species, such as the spider monkey, capuchin monkey, macaws, fallow deer, snakes, and other species. We will also have the opportunity to have an educational bond with some of them; the purpose of this bond is to appreciate their natural behaviors and expressions, observe them, and approach them in a respectful and friendly manner. They are housed in safe areas with trained staff to care for them. We'll also learn the story of each of the rescued species and experience the feeling of being part of their community.
